OUR PURPOSE
To provide Christmas for children and their families who find themselves in unfortunate circumstances
during the holiday season
ORIGIN
Several years
ago, Robert received a notice indicating that if he was to send a gift to a certain business, make the gift a donation to
the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Later, Robert received a hand-colored card from a child, telling how his wish came true.
This touched Robert deeply. God
has blessed him and his family, so why not bless others in return? This sparked the idea to form the Milmar Foundation in
2003.
"Milmar"
is derived from the names of Robert's grandmother, Mildred, and Julie's grandmother, Mary, both of whom had a godly
influence on their young lives--especially at Christmas!
